Abstract

This chapter provides the conclusion to the volume "The Indigenous Challenge: Between Spectacle and Politics". I outline how the contributors to the book variously work towards an “anthropology of (or for) decolonisation” by focusing on the dynamism and strength of indigenous identities and on how indigenous peoples creatively assert their agency in global contexts through visual arts, music, dance, theatre, cultural festivals and other performances.
