Abstract
If you looked at the title of this article and skipped over it because wheelchair prescription is not an area of interest to you, then please, revise that decision. Yes, this is an article about the process of prescribing wheelchairs, however, it is also so much more than that. What makes this article worth reading is that it is a stimulating example of practitioner-based research, or, to use the author's words,'theory-in-use'.
