Abstract
A trajectory approach is applied to temporal patterns in people's acquisition and use of landmarks in wayfinding field studies. Forthcoming studies use methods to probe and depict egocentric data on couplings between momentary interactions and cumulative experiences with landmarks during wayfinding. Methods to capture data about how meaning is assigned and liberated while exploring places may be insightful in addressing some of the challenges of embodied perspective more generally.
