Abstract
Most communication systems contain an RF front end, which performs analogue signal processing with RF filters. Microstrip filters are a low cost means of doing this. This paper describes a general design technique for microstrip or stripline filters. Four different microstrip filters are designed. The simulated and measured responses agree closely over a wide range of frequencies. This technique allows new filter topologies to be investigated.
