Abstract

In this study ''street markets" are synonymous with all markets, which accommodate a conglomerate of stallholders. One might consider defining street markets is not an easy task. Several characteristics are similar for all sorts of markets, for example weekend & night markets, farmers' markets; others are different. However, they all have one feature together: they are selling their produce, products and services outdoors, located on streets, on private or on public places with significantly lower operating costs than shops, supermarkets and department stores in a flamboyant market atmosphere.
