Abstract

[Extract] The pronocephaloid family Nudacotylidae Barker, 1916 contains two monostomatous genera characterized by the position of the genital pore between the posteriorly located testes and the midddle of the body. The cirrus-sac is oblique or transverse in the body and the uterus is largely anterior to the cirrus-sac. Head-collars and ventral papillae are not present. Adults occur in the digestive tract of mammals (rodents, lagomorphs, sirenians and bats) in the Americas.
