Abstract
[Extract] Blair (1979) erected the Labicolidae for Labicola elongatus Blair, 1979. This species lives in abscesses in the upper lip of a sirenian, the dugong Dugong, dugon (Muller), off Australia. Adult worms are unlike any other pronocephaloid taxon in their very elongate, cylindrical form and terminal mouth; superficially, they resemble nematodes.
