Abstract

Objective: to identify key predictors of well-being in aged care facility residents' family members.

Methods: an Australia-wide cross-sectional survey, in which 213 residents' family members provided data for testing/refinement of a model.

Results: family members' well-being was predicted by their physical health, pressures from competing commitments, and residents' adjustment.

Conclusions: interventions should target residents' family members at risk of poor well-being.
