Abstract

This report presents the findings of a project commissioned by the National Public Health Partnership (NPHP) to review options and make recommendations for guidelines on the development of national public health strategies in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The purpose of the project is to enhance the development, implementation and evaluation of national public health strategies, with the intent of improving their effectiveness for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations. The project was conceived as an adjunct to existing guidelines for improving the development and coordination of national public health strategies, produced by the NPHP in 2000.
