Abstract

'Survivor Trees' is the title for a series of 6 lithographs about native trees from north west Queensland. These lithographs were exhibited in China and Australia.

Research Background:Survivor trees is the title for a series of lithographs about native trees from north west Queensland. These lithographs were exhibited in China and Australia.
Research Contribution:Through recognising and drawing the beauty and vulnerability of trees from north west Queensland, the artist brings attention to the significance of these shade providing plants.
Research Significance:Lord, the artist, contributes to the recognition of unique flora and fauna in north west Queensland though bringing experience in drawing and capturing the nature from this region. The significance is in alerting audiences to the beauty and vulnerability of trees and the dry tropics.
