Abstract

[Extract] Labor's Conflict is a history of the Australian Labor Party (ALP). Its story, primarily about federal ALP governments, spans the dozen decades from the party's foundation in the 1890s to 2010. In telling that story, the book affirms a fundamental continuity in the ALP. The forms of that continuity are at least fivefold.
