[Extracts] Vets in referral centres, both here and abroad, receive phone calls each year from colleagues battling to dissolve various kinds of crystals that they find in the urine of their canine and feline patients. In this brief article, I'll suggest that the effort being expended is sometimes unnecessary, and offer some ideas about where it might be better directed.
