Abstract

Tooth color is produced by complex mechanisms in the tooth and the eye and brain through sensory-physiological benefits perceived as complex. In the paper the basics of color vision, the production of tooth color in the tooth as well as strategies for the correct shade using optical sampling and with the colorimeter are described.

Original abstract (German): Die Zahnfarbe wird im Zahn durch komplexe Mechanismen erzeugt und vom Auge bzw. Gehirn durch ebenso komplexe sinnesphysiologische Leistungen wahrgenommen. Dementsprechend ist die Farbnahme ein komplizierter Prozess mit vielfältigen Fehlerquellen. In dem Beitrag werden die Grundlagen des Farbensehens, die Erzeugung der Zahnfarbe im Zahn sowie Strategien zur korrekten Farbnahme mittels optischer Abmusterung und mit dem Farbmessgerät beschrieben.
