Abstract
[Extract] Stamford Press was established in 1963 as a support unit to the Stamford College Group of Companies in order to provide in-house printing services for the Group's educational concerns. Between 1980 and 1983 the Press accumulated losses of over S$500,000. However, in 1983 the Stamford Press was transformed with a new management team and more independence. In particular, a management consultant was introduced as executive director.
