Abstract
There arc different historical episodes of hyperinflations - also prior to the 20th century there were episodes of severe inflation with monthly inflation rates of over 50 per cent. Examples are: 276 - 334 West Roman Empire, 1166 Chinese Empire, 1719-1720 France, and 1789-1796 France.
