Abstract

This manual is an easy to read guide to best management practises, with a focus on health management for Australian prawn farmers. Using the combined knowledge of Australia's leading scientists, prawn health specialists, prawn farmers and extensionists this manual captures what is known about managing prawn health and maximizing the farm's productivity and profitability.

Funded by the Australian Center for International Agricultural Research and developed in collaboration with the Australian Prawn Farmers' Association, The Queensland Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries and the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries, the manual draws on extensive research conducted across the Australasia region. The contents reflect the knowledge of a wide array of internationally recognized researchers and the wisdom and research gained through the efforts of the Australian prawn farming industry.
