Abstract

Background: Assisting family caregivers to deal with the cumulative losses and the emotional cost of caring for a loved one living with ALS/MND is important for the wellbeing of both the carer and the patient.

Objectives: As part of a larger study, this paper examines family carers’ loss and its impact on their ability to provide effective care in ALS/MND.
